Big smile for you Sönke

Smiley Sönke during childhood

Gnarls Barkley, Smiley Faces, St Elsewhere, 2006

But what did you do?
What did you say?
Did you walk or did you run away?
Where are you now?
Where have you been?
Did you come alone or did you bring a friend?

I need to know this cause I noticed you're smiling
Out in the sun, having fun and feeling free
And I can tell you know how hard this life can be
But you keep on smiling for me

What went right?
What went wrong?
Was it a story or was it a song?
Was it overnight or did it take you long?
Was knowing your weakness what made you strong?

Or all the above, oh how I love to see you smiling
And oh yeah, take a little pain just in case
You need something warm to embrace
To help you put on a smiling face

Dont you go off into the new day with any doubt
Here's a summary of something that you could smile about
Say for instance my girlfiend, she bugs me all the time
But the irony of it all is that she loves me all the time

I want to be you whenever I see you smiling
Because its easily one of the hardest things to do
Your worries and fears become your friends
And they end up smiling at you

Put on a smiley face

How can I visit you with smile?

They asked me to visit you. Hell, how? how? I can't smile. I barely can breath. Can you remember our discussion? I told you life is unfair.

The Saddest Song I’ve Got, Annie Lennox, Bare, 2003
Darling are you feeling
The same thing that I'm seeing
The troubles of the day
Took my breath away
Took my breath away
Now you're no longer talking
And I'm no longer listening
There's nothing left to say
Said it anyway
Said it anyway
And I want you not
And I need you not
I'm dying
Cos this is the saddest song I've got
The saddest song I've got
Darling are you healing
From all the scars appearing
Don't it hurt a lot
Don't know how to stop
Don't know hot it stops
Now there's no sense in seeing
The colours of the morning
Hold the clouds at bay
Chase them all away
Chase them all away
And I'm frozen still
Unspoken still
Heartbroken
Cos this is the saddest song I've got
The saddest song I've got

I wish, I could believe in miracle

This is long story but I need to tell. Between years 1999-2002 I was student in Germany. I had good time and quite nice friends. One of them was one relaxed and fun German guy called Sönke. We were always making jokes and had real fun. He was active and super hyper energetic person. I can’t forget his motorbike and small car (since he is two meter). Today I went to my former university to see every one and I knew he is PhD student. I asked about him and people told me about his awful accident nearly 2 years ago with very sad faces. He could survive Tsunami in Thailand, but he went through an accident two months later. He lost his ability to move means he is totally disable and even worse, he lost the part of his brain which is responsible for language. He can think clearly but he can’t express himself. Here are two letters of him which were written by someone else (Sorry they are in German). The worst part is he wrote “Life is really boring.” I can’t get over it especially because I want to go and visit him and I need to "SMILE" (???). I wish, I could believe in “MIRACLE”

A note for my supervisor :)

This was a note which I put on my thesis when I gave my supervisor four chapters of my PhD thesis to read. I was scared since I knew he would change every thing as he did :)

I have plan to give him a bottle of vodka with my full draft. ;)

God bless all supervisors.

Taking photo was forbidden but I couldn't help it.

I think taking photo without flash should not be forbidden.
